The New Bitso: Redefining Its Identity and Launching a Global Stock Investment Product

After celebrating 11 years in the market, Bitso —Latin America’s  leading digital financial services company— announced today a major transformation of its brand  identity and communication strategy, based on a complete redesign of its application and the launch  of a new financial product. This update introduces an entirely revamped app with a more intuitive look  and feel. But that’s not the only change: the company is also launching a new financial product that  will allow its clients in Mexico to buy and sell global stocks, alongside cryptocurrencies, within a single  platform.

The new Bitso app will feature a fully redesigned interface and a detailed portfolio view, thanks to the  addition of the new investment category. This will allow users to navigate seamlessly and manage  their crypto and traditional stock investments all in one place. For existing customers, crypto holdings  will automatically appear in the new experience once the app is updated.

More investment opportunities for a diversified strategy

Bitso emphasized that this transformation marks an evolution in its business focus, complementing its  existing offering of cryptocurrencies and digital assets. Through this update, the company will provide  clients with a fully integrated investment space within its platform, opening access to the capital  markets and allowing them to invest using pesos or digital dollars (USDC) in more than 5,000 U.S.  stocks, including ETFs and shares of companies such as Meta, Tesla, Microsoft, and Nvidia, among  many others.

The service will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with instant fund availability. This  feature marks a new era for Bitso, combining its expertise in the crypto and digital money space with  the stability of traditional stock trading in a single app.

This broader financial offering responds to increasingly diversified investment behavior among digital savvy users seeking to complement their portfolios. In fact, a recent Bitso survey revealed that 75% of  its users are interested in trading traditional assets through the platform.

New investor profiles require a renewed experience

Bitso’s rebranding also introduces a new visual identity, designed to stand out in the market and  reflect the company’s evolution into a broader financial ecosystem —while maintaining its crypto DNA.  With a clearer and more approachable communication style, Bitso invites both traditional and digital  investors to take full control of their portfolios through the company’s new all-in-one investment  platform.

“This launch is not just about a new product; it’s the result of 11 years of relentless work at Bitso to  break down the barriers of traditional financial services. We’re thrilled to enter this new stage, where  our experience as Mexico’s undisputed crypto leader allows us to evolve into a comprehensive  investment platform. We’ve brought together the best of both worlds: the flexibility and opportunity of crypto and digital money, with the strength of traditional assets. We’re fulfilling our mission to make  the financial future accessible to everyone—and to continue being a reference point for the industry,”  said Daniel Vogel, CEO and Co-Founder of Bitso.

Interoperability and a frictionless experience

To ensure seamless transactions, Bitso will allow users to purchase stocks using local currency —by  depositing directly into their Bitso wallet or using their existing balance. Users will also be able to pay  with digital dollars (USDC). Although it won’t be possible to purchase stocks directly with other  cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, these assets can be converted into local currencies or stablecoins  like USDC, which are enabled for stock purchases in the new Bitso interface.

The rollout of the new app will begin in phases starting October 8, with gradual availability in Mexico,  Argentina, Brazil, and Colombia. The app will automatically update for current users, and all account  information —including profiles, preferences, settings, and balances—will migrate smoothly to the  new version. Stock trading will initially launch in Mexico through a gradual rollout. Users can join the  waitlist directly in their app. The service is expected to expand to the other markets where Bitso  operates over the coming year, with updates to be announced through the company’s official channels.
