CoinCorner: Shop and Earn Bitcoin with 1000+ Top Brands
CoinCorner, a leading UK-focused Bitcoin exchange, is hoping to encourage more women to get involved in cryptocurrency this International Women’s Day by earning Bitcoin when they shop online.
A lack of women investing in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency has been widely reported over the years, with a recent report suggesting that women account for just 15% of Bitcoin traders. Data from CoinCorner also supports this – just 13% of CoinCorner customers are female – but the Bitcoin exchange is hoping that a familiar service like earning cashback on everyday goods and services will entice more women into the space.
Molly Spiers, head of marketing at CoinCorner, said, “Reports have suggested that women lack confidence when it comes to investing, not just in cryptocurrency, but in traditional stocks and shares too. And while buying your first Bitcoins can feel daunting to some, there are other ways to get started. Bitcoin reward or cashback services are great because they are an easy, risk-free way to get involved.”
CoinCorner announced their Bitcoin cashback service last year – a first-of-its-kind to launch in the UK – which offers customers the opportunity to earn Bitcoin when they shop with over 1000 retailers, including big names like Boots, Twinings, GHD, Moonpig, Myprotein, Schuh, Nike, and Revolution Beauty.
Similar to popular cashback services like Quidco and TopCashback, CoinCorner rewards their customers for shopping, but instead of customers receiving cashback in GBP, they receive the Bitcoin (BTC) equivalent.
CoinCorner’s figures show that 12% of their customers currently earning Bitcoin when they shop online are female.
Joanne Goldy, marketing specialist at CoinCorner, said, “I’ve shopped and earned Bitcoin with Boots, Shein, Moonpig, Photobox, and 365games over the last year. And, as the value of Bitcoin has increased, so has the value of my Bitcoin rewards. Earning Bitcoin while shopping online is a great way to spend and save.”
CoinCorner customers can browse over 1000 online retailers listed on the platform’s directory, before clicking through to their chosen site and shopping as normal. Once a customer has completed their purchase, they will receive an email from CoinCorner to confirm their Bitcoin cashback.
Goldy added, “Our mission at CoinCorner is to make Bitcoin more accessible and we believe that this is one of the simplest ways for people to get involved.”
