Cloud Insurance Partners With Kanguro to Tap American Pet Insurance Market

Cloud Insurance, a fast-growing SaaS technology solutions provider for insurers, is pleased to announce a partnership with American insurance MGA Kanguro. Kanguro’s vision to modernise the insurance experience for Spanish-speaking Americans is perfectly served by Cloud Insurance’s sophisticated technology.

“Cloud Insurance can react quickly and adjust the product, so it’s very exciting,” says Kanguro Co-Founder Andrés Mishaan. “Finding a partner that can go at the speed you need is important. We’re excited to partner with Cloud Insurance.”

Ryan Phillips, Project Manager at Cloud Insurance, believes the platform is ideally suited to Kanguro. “We work very well together, but we also align business-wise,” Phillips says. “Kanguro wants speed to market, things to work smoothly, and to get their app/website working in sync for their customers. We aim to provide this service for them.”

Cloud Insurance’s partnership with Kanguro brings a novel pet insurance solution to the underserved Spanish-speaking American market. Nicholas Hanabergh, Kanguro’s

Co-Founder, notes that 63 million people identify as Latino in the United States, a fast-growing and affluent demographic. Latino-Americans own roughly 30 million pets, while just 4.4 million pets in the United States are insured. Kanguro lies at this intersection and is well placed to serve the market. The MGA seeks to simplify insurance policies by presenting information in both Spanish and English.

“When you get insurance documentation in another language, it can get very confusing and daunting,” Hanabergh says. “I think if you can have that in your [native] language where you feel naturally more at ease, then I think you’re more likely to buy that product.”

Cloud Insurance’s ability to translate Kanguro’s complex pricing structure into a simple user workflow played a huge role in securing the partnership. “Once we plug Kanguro’s price matrix into our system, it makes it user-friendly for the customer at the end,” says Phillips. “You can just plug it in and match it up straight for that price matrix, making it very simple from the user’s perspective.”

“We had a relatively complex product,” says Mishaan. “[Now], the user just needs to answer eight questions, and in 15 clicks or so, have a pet insurance product with three separate coverages. We couldn’t have done it without the flexibility that Cloud Insurance offers. It’s a very complicated product sold in a very simple manner, and that’s something we’re very proud of.”
