Cardpay rebrands as Unlimint

Fast-growth fintech Cardpay today changes its name to Unlimint, and unveils its ambitious strategy to become the world’s number one international payment partner for forward thinking businesses everywhere.

Founded in 2009 and now employing more than 300 people across 14 international offices, Unlimint already helps tens of thousands of businesses around the world transact with millions of consumers, whilst boosting revenue and improving conversion.

It does this by acting as a simple, single gateway to local payment ecosystems – making it far easier for businesses to go global. It offers thousands of alternative payment methods through its all-in-one plugin that merchants can easily integrate into their online store or mobile app.

The company now aims to become the number one international payment partner for high-growth innovative businesses around the world.  Across the next 12 months, Unlimint is investing millions of dollars in R&D, new locations and new forms of insight and inspiration for its customers. In 2020, Unlimint has already added more than 100 new people and expects another 40+ new hires by year end.

Alongside its global acquiring services, Unlimint is also now offering a revolutionary banking solution that is truly unique in the market. Designed by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs, the completely free service features speed and ease of set-up with on-demand human support and expert insight, specifically tailored to the agile needs of the digital businesses of tomorrow.

Unlimint’s fast growth is tracking the meteoric rise of e-commerce globally, which has been further accelerated by the pandemic – countries like the US and Mexico have seen five years of digital shopping growth in just a few months, the demise of cash has been hastened in every market with the UK predicted to be fully cashless by 2030, while consumers are spending more in virtual worlds: by 2022, spend on games will reach $196 billion. Yet 1.7 billion people are still cut out of this virtual economy as they don’t have a bank account, meaning the true potential is still untapped.

Unlimint is on a mission to help businesses navigate and capitalise on the opportunities this change and disruption throws up, as Kirill  Evstratov, CEO and founder of  Unlimint, explains,

“If you want to go global, you have to understand the local and you have to quickly adapt to changing consumer expectations. Our people are tuned in to the latest trends and innovations in disruptive tech markets, and intimately understand the time poor life of digital innovators. From London to Singapore and from San Francisco to Sao Paulo, we help businesses enter new markets by making it simple for them to transact in the way people want. With our revolutionary banking solution, designed by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs, we are blurring the line between traditional banking, digital wallets, and cards payment. This is why we are now called Unlimint: we provide unlimited growth opportunities for our international customers, freeing them of the payment constraints so they can concentrate on being ready for tomorrow.”
