Bruno Macedo, FinTech specialist, five°degrees:

Bruno Macedo is a leading FinTech specialist at five°degrees, a new generation digital core banking provider. Since joining the company in September 2017, Bruno has held roles as Business Architect, Head of Implementation Consultants, and Head of Delivery Implementations. In parallel, Bruno is Coordinator for AFIP – FinTech and InsurTech Portugal and lecturer for ISEG – Executive Education from the University of Lisbon.

Bruno has a passion for IT from an early age having worked in industry since the age of 16. As a successful entrepreneur, speaker and FinTech executive, Bruno has substantial experience in digital transformation, FinTech, Cybersecurity, Digital Banking, BI & Analytics, with a career focused on the ability to combine Information Systems, Technology, Management, and Economics.

Prior to five°degrees, Bruno was a lecturer in FinTech, Information Systems Security, Business Intelligence and Management at the Univesity of Lisbon /IDEFE; Founder and CEO of Macsribus ; a FinTech and Research Intermediation company; and Senior Product and Product Manager at Fincite. Bruno has also held roles as Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Lecturer at the School of Economics and Management and CIO at Kalam Research and Media working in digital transformation and crisis reporting.

Bruno holds a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Lisbon, and a degree in Economics from the Lisbon School of Economics and Management and is currently undergoing is PhD research in Management.
