Bleu Jour Partners With UTRUST to Accept Cryptocurrency Payments

Bleu Jour, a leading French design-focused IT manufacturer, has partnered with UTRUST, the cryptocurrency payment solution offering instant transactions, buyer protection, and crypto-to-cash settlements. Bleu Jour customers can now purchase the boutique’s French-designed hardware using cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and UTRUST’s own UTK.

Founded in Toulouse, France in 2002, Bleu Jour focuses on the fusion of aesthetic design and novel technology to offer its customers design-led electronic hardware through its online boutique bleujour.com. Bleu Jour customers now have the option to purchase this technology using cryptocurrency with the highest standard of buyer protection.

UTRUST is working to revitalise the retail payments industry by providing instant and seamless crypto-to-fiat conversions to benefit and protect both buyers and merchants. In partnering with UTRUST, Bleu Jour can now settle payments directly to its bank in fiat on the very same day they are received, offering protection from any risk of potential market volatility.

Commenting on the partnership, UTRUST CEO, Nuno Correia, said, “We are expanding our network into the lucrative French consumer electronics market, valued at €5,885 million in 2019 by partnering with our first French merchant, Bleu Jour. The country’s 17.3m electronics users now have the opportunity to pay with the top cryptocurrencies, in addition to fiat currency, with the reassurance that their purchase is fully protected. Total market revenue generated through online sales is projected to reach 34% by 2023, and UTRUST is helping to drive consumer confidence and eliminate problematic chargebacks for retailers. Bleu Jour’s focus on design and technology aligns it very well with UTRUST and we look forward to developing this partnership together.”

Jean-Christophe Agobert, CEO of Bleu Jour, said “We are really excited about our collaboration with UTRUST and the possibilities that this partnership presents us in our strategy to evolve in the e-commerce sector. Offering our customers the opportunity to pay in cryptocurrency is important to us as we look to progress our business and ensure our customers have a range of payment options.”

UTRUST’s core technology will allow Bleu Jour to take advantage of the increased security and convenience of cryptocurrency payments. It will also significantly reduce processing fees and eliminate inconvenient credit-card chargebacks and fraudulent payments to bring greater transparency and trust to the world of online payments. With the UTRUST platform, Bleu Jour customers can pay for their electronic hardware using the native UTRUST token (UTK) as well as popular cryptocurrencies including BTC and ETH.
