Ascent RegTech Hires Senior Operations Executive Arbela Takhsh as Chief Operating Officer

Ascent RegTech announced today the expansion of its executive team with the hiring of Arbela Takhsh as Chief Operating Officer.

During her over 20 years of experience leading business operations and product development for global organizations, Arbela held various engineering and operational leadership roles at Motorola, Google, Comcast, and most recently as Senior Vice President of Operations Excellence, Quality, and Data Analytics & Business Intelligence at Gogo. She brings a wealth of experience in technology operations, launching new products and lines of business in highly regulated industries, operational excellence and quality, and advanced data science solutions.

“Ascent has tremendous market opportunity with its highly innovative regulatory compliance automation and intelligence solutions. I am thrilled to join the talented team at Ascent scaling global product offerings and delivering critical business value to our customers,” said Arbela.

The Ascent team has grown rapidly since the company’s inception in 2015, having closed its $6M Series A round in 2018. Within the past year, the team has grown to 35+ full time employees, led and supported by an executive team and board of directors with extensive experience in technology, regulatory compliance, sales and business operations. Ascent’s business continues to grow quickly and now includes relationships with ING, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Wells Fargo Accelerator and others.

“We are thrilled to welcome Arbela,” said Brian Clark, Founder and CEO of Ascent. “Her proven leadership and expertise in data science, innovative technologies, and customer-focused operational excellence exemplify all that we look for when considering additions to our team. We look forward to having her join our efforts as we continue to strengthen and scale our offerings.”

Arbela earned her undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Temple University, and her MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
