Anova Financial Networks Announces Major Expansion to Asia
Anova Financial Networks, an international carrier and market data provider, announces today its expansion to Asia with new Points-of-Presence (POPs) in Tokyo, Singapore, Shanghai, and Taiwan. These particular Anova networks are hybrid in nature, utilizing exclusive wireless technologies and best-in-class fiber to deliver the preeminent intra-Asia connectivity solution in the marketplace today.
“We believe these paths encompass the fastest commercially available routes emanating from Tokyo,” states Michael Persico, CEO, Anova Financial Networks. “And while our initial launch includes traditional capacity in the form of circuits, near-term product additions will distribute CME, OSE and SGX feeds across the region. This significant foray into the Asian markets is part of Anova’s comprehensive global expansion strategy for 2019 and beyond.”
The launch of four Anova greenfield builds connecting the main Asian liquidity centers coincides at a time when the confluence of rising wealth, advancing technology and government reforms are contributing towards the transparency and efficiency necessary for global execution and price discovery.
“We viewed the Tokyo metropolitan government’s active promotion of the city as a worldwide finance capital, the One Belt, One Road initiative and exchange controls reform in China as signs that would accelerate the development of the Asian financial landscape,” states Kieran Athy, CTO, Anova Financial Networks. “Consequently, Asian and transnational trading firms with provincial capabilities should be positioned to benefit from these positive developments, supported by Anova’s ability to deliver ultra-low latency, high availability transport and market data solutions.”
Anova plans to open its Asian headquarters in Singapore, which will contain the sales and operations headcount necessary to further support the company’s endeavors in the region. The Anova Financial Networks team will be available for meetings at FIA Asia 2018, taking place November 27-30, at the St. Regis in Singapore.
