Anansi selected as 1 of 9 Insurtechs to join Lloyd’s Lab Accelerator

Anansi, the embedded insurance experts, has been selected to join the ninth Lloyd’s Lab cohort. Selected from over 120 initial applications, Anansi is one of nine insurtechs to join the latest Lloyd’s Lab accelerator programme, further demonstrating the positive momentum in the business. It follows on from recognition as one of the UKs most successful startups with acceptance into the Tech Nation FinTech 5.0 cohort 2022/23, as well as partnership announcements with Arch International Insurance for capacity and Tarlu, 3PL, distribution.

Lloyd’s Lab, the market’s innovation accelerator, brings together insurtech, insurers, and brokers to test new, innovative solutions.

Beginning on September 26th for a 10-week period, the teams will be working to develop insurance solutions to help the Lloyd’s market understand customers’ risks better, respond even faster to incidents, and provide a better service to its customers.

Dawn Miller, commercial director at Lloyd’s, said: “Since joining Lloyd’s in May, I’ve been thoroughly impressed with the dynamism, expertise and energy the insurtechs bring to the programme.

”I’m excited to see what insights and product solutions the new teams will bring to the Lab to address the challenging issues our industry faces. I’ll be watching closely to see how they progress during their ten-week cohort.”

Megan Bingham-Walker, CEO and Co-founder of Anansi, said: “We’re delighted to be working with the world’s leading marketplace for commercial, corporate and speciality risk solutions, and exploring expansion of our capabilities. As part of the Lloyds Lab programme, we’re keen to engage with a global market to help us expand our product across the EU and develop our large retailer proposition.”

Following the 1st September pitch day, the other eight companies included in the ninth cohort are ARMD Limited, OTT Risk, nPlan, Kayna, Atelier, Kayna Innovation, Yogahu, OTT Risk, Innovatrix Capital Ltd and Sola.
