Amanda Shoffel – Do Traditional Institutions Need Education In Crypto?
Amanda Shoffel, General Manager and CCO of Bitstamp UK, provides her view on whether traditional institutions should be educated in cryptocurrency. Bitstamp is the world’s longest-running cryptocurrency exchange which allows trading via cryptocurrencies.
“I think there are a lot of institutions that don’t necessarily need an education in crypto, but they need to be more comfortable with crypto. I think they need to understand that the regulations, although they’re unclear, there are quite a few players within the industry who are ready to play ball with regulators and be compliant.”
Cryptocurrency is becoming more prominent and Amanda expresses that businesses should become more comfortable and reassured with the regulations and controls in place to make the trade safer.
