alpharooms.com Appoints Paysafe to Deliver Frictionless Payments

alpharooms.com, a leading online travel booking website has today announced its partnership with Paysafe to provide online debit and credit card acceptance and global payment processing services.

Paysafe will act as merchant acquirer and payments processor for alpharooms.com, allowing it to deliver a seamless payment experience to its customers across multiple devices, with the introduction of one-click payments via its hosted payment page and mobile optimised software development kits (SDKs).

The solution provided by Paysafe will boost alpharooms.com’s payment acceptance capabilities and enhance cross-border processing, which will future proof the company’s plans for expansion into new territories and reaching new customers. Paysafe will also support alpharooms.com in increasing its conversion rates via its feature-rich payment gateway that offers reporting, intelligence and optimisation tools.

Kumar Edara, Director, alpharooms.com said: “We required a payment service provider that was able to offer an agile and scalable solution, a fast and efficient merchant onboarding experience, and a high level of support to our team in terms of tackling fraud and reducing chargebacks on the merchant acquiring side.

Early in our negotiations we were introduced to Paysafe’s specialist fraud team who took us through their in-house 200 risk fraud tool and explained, based on experience, how this could be optimised to suit our specific needs.

Similarly, Paysafe’s bespoke reporting tools were a draw as they not only show our standard transaction data but also authorisation rate benchmarking, basket abandonment and in-country analysis – which will help us analyse past activity and provide a transformative step in adapting for the future.

Andrea Dunlop, CEO of Card Solutions and Acquiring, Paysafe said: “The digitization of commerce is driving an unprecedented shift towards alternative payment methods and mobile-initiated transactions across all sectors, and travel is no exception. Leading travel companies are demanding new capabilities, new technologies and new thinking. Setting the pace are those already investing in technology and services that support omni-channel experiences.

alpharooms.com was at a crossroads in terms of its payment strategy – wanting to stay ahead of the payment curve, but also requiring a sound partner who had sector experience and crucially was not a here-today, gone-tomorrow entity. We are of course delighted to support alpharooms.com in servicing over 500,000 customers every year.”
