Alan Osborne joins Paysafe as Chief Information Security Officer

Global payments provider, Paysafe Group (Paysafe), announces it has further strengthened its technology leadership team with the appointment of Alan Osborne as its Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Osborne will be responsible for cyber and physical security across Paysafe as well as leading the ongoing development and implementation of the company’s global IT risk and business continuity strategy.

Osborne will report to Paysafe’s Chief Information Officer, Roy Aston, based in the company’s London office.

Osborne brings over 20 years’ senior level experience to the role along with a proven track record in developing business-aligned security technology strategies. He previously held the role of Chief Security Officer at global payment processing company Worldpay and most recently was Chief Information Security Officer for National Grid, the multinational electricity and gas utility company.

Earlier in his career, Osborne held senior positions in global management consultancy, managed security services, and financial services. This included establishing the cyber security practice at management consultancy AlixPartners. Osborne was also responsible for global technical operations for managed security services at Symantec, the global security software and services provider, and was the Global Head of Security Architecture & Strategy for FTSE25 global financial services life and pensions company Old Mutual.

Roy Aston, CIO of Paysafe, commented: “I am delighted that Alan has joined our technology leadership team at such an exciting time in Paysafe’s journey. His strong technical credentials and vast knowledge of the payments, finance and technology sectors will add further strength to our focus on maintaining our world-class resilience and the smooth running of our business from a technology standpoint.”

Alan Osborne added: “As a business which has had a dynamic growth journey with proven success in serving industries with specialised payment needs across the world, Paysafe presents a fantastic opportunity. I am very much looking forward to working closely with Roy and the rest of the leadership team to support the strategic priorities of the business and continue to drive growth.”
