AI imaging insurtech, Tensorflight, appoints Jakub Dryjas, former Chief of Growth as Chief Executive Officer
Tensorflight, the AI imaging based insurtech automating commercial property inspections and claims processing, has appointed Jakub Dryjas as Chief Executive Officer. Dryjas, the company’s former Chief of Growth and one of its longest serving members, takes over the post from Co-founder, Zbigniew Wojna.
Joining Tensorflight‘s commercial team in 2018, Dryjas quickly rose to the Chief of Growth position, spearheading the company’s expansion across its key markets of the US, UK, Europe and Australia. Notable wins included the customer acquisition of Zurich Insurance Group and securing the backing of QBE Insurance Group as its lead investor in its Series A fundraise last autumn.
As the business enters its next phase of growth, Dryjas will lead marketing and client acquisition, finance and funding, and will oversee business development and the overall strategy for the business in partnership with Tensorflight’s Co-founder and Chief Product Officer, Robert Kozikowski.
Tensorflight uses three sources of imagery, satellite, aerial and ground level, to automate the slow and expensive process of in-person property inspections and to help insurance companies evaluate commercial properties as part of the underwriting process.
Dryjas, who holds a master’s degree in Law from University of Warsaw, one of the top law schools in Poland, will also play a pivotal role in securing and overseeing Tensorflight’s strategic partnerships.
Last month saw Tensorflight partner with the Intelligence Business of Airbus Defence and Space, the global leader in Geospatial Data, Intelligence and Defence Solutions, to ramp up its property analysis and assessment capabilities.
Commenting on his appointment, Jakub Dryjas said: “This is a really exciting time to be leading a company like Tensorflight which is at the forefront of innovation and when there is such a renewed focus on, and appetite from the property insurance sector to adopt AI and emerging technologies. I look forward to leading the next chapter in the business.”
Tensorflight has also appointed Jacob Grob as its first Chief Revenue Officer reporting into Dryjas. In addition to taking on Dryjas’ former duties, Grob will be responsible for growing the commercial team, customer retention and revenue generation.
Based in the US, Grob brings 15 years’ experience in the data, geospatial, and insurance industries working with property and casualty insurance software and data analytics providers, Maprisk, and Corelogic.
Reflecting on his appointment, Grob said: “I’ve joined Tensorflight at a pivotal moment in their history. Our AI and machine learning team have created some capabilities no other AI provider has, and combined with the vision our new CEO brings to the table, Tensorflight is set to truly take flight.”
Former CEO, Zbigniew Wojna, will remain at Tensorflight in an advisory capacity and will join the Board of Directors for the business he co-founded in 2016.
