“There’s lots of data from the outside world that might give us an insight into the behaviour of a financial market … Regardless of the form the data takes when it comes in from the outside world, it might be numeric tables, text documents or anything.”

“We call Arctic DB a data frame database, and what it does is it allows our investment professionals to interact with data frames in a seamless fashion. That’s presenting it simply, it does lots of clever stuff behind the scenes that are tuned to some of the problems within our industry.”
