Scott Ernenwein – Currencycloud – Fintech Meetup 2023
Over in Las Vegas for Fintech Meetup 2023, the FF News team caught up with Scott Ernenwein, Strategic Partnerships Manager at Currencycloud. Currencycloud is a Visa solution that gives businesses the capability to move money across borders and transact globally in multiple currencies.
“So we’re basically Cross-Border as a Service. We embed our foreign exchange and cross-border payments for services into our client’s customer experience through our APIs. So, we are not interfacing directly with the end client, but we sell our APIs that provide these services so that our customers can go ahead and resell them.”
“Globalization has made everybody international in one way or another. You might be living in a different country. You might be working in a different country and all business now is taking place across different continents. What hasn’t really caught up is how money is moved around the world, so it takes quite a while and it’s operationally quite difficult for companies to manage an international payment solution. So that’s where we come in.”
