Money20/20: Launching Awards to Spotlight Industry Trailblazers

At Money20/20 Europe 2025, Grania Chesterton, VP of Awards at Money20/20, kicked off the Money Awards at the event to power a new global effort to recognize excellence in financial services. She shared that while the idea has been talked about for a long time, they wanted to make sure they did it right.

Money20/20 reached out to over 100 sponsors and industry leaders to figure out that there’s a real need for an independent platform that can give solid recognition for achievements in banking, payments, partnerships, startups, and even a special “diamond” category.

A big part of the Money Awards is making sure the judging is fair and credible. To achieve this, Chesterton and her team started a global jury nomination process earlier this year and the final group of judges includes over 40 people from six continents, chosen for their experience, expertise, and diversity to make sure the judging is balanced.

The goals of the awards match Money20/20’s global expansion efforts, now stretching into the US, Europe, and Asia, noting that the platform is already a go-to spot for companies making big announcements and partnerships, making it a great place to showcase innovation.

Entries can be submitted until the 29th July and the shortlist will be released in mid-September, with the spotlight on celebrating the winners at Money20/20 Las Vegas. The main aim is to acknowledge the work and innovations that pushes the industry forward and establish a lasting standard.
