Cognitive Banking & AI Personalisation: Personetics’ Dorel Blitz on Driving Customer-Centric Innovation

At Money20/20 Europe, Dorel Blitz, who is the VP of Strategy and Business Development at Personetics, shared the company’s new name: The Cognitive Banking Company.

With over 100 banks as clients worldwide, Personetics aims to help financial institutions use data to personalize services, improving how they engage with customers and support their financial choices. Blitz talked about their approach which focuses on being proactive and actionable and not just using AI to analyze financial behaviors, but to give timely, relevant advice that helps people manage their money better.

Blitz stressed that AI is just one piece of the puzzle and what really counts is how it helps achieve results, like allowing banks to understand where their customers are in life, foresee future financial needs, and check if their actions are genuinely boosting engagement and sales.

Since many banks offer similar products, the key difference lies in how effectively they can help customers with their financial wellness and build lasting relationships. Personetics keeps track of this by monitoring how often customers interact with their services, scoring their experiences, and looking at conversion rates to make sure their tools provide real value.

Looking forward, Blitz talked about Personetics’ commitment to innovation by teaming up with companies like Microsoft to leverage Azure OpenAI and create tools like Banker Intelligence, which aim to make bankers’ and advisors’ jobs easier.

They’ve also launched Personetics Labs, a space for innovation where they can collaborate with clients to develop and test AI-driven solutions in real-world settings. It’s a hands-on approach that focuses on making an impact rather than just pushing out new tech.
