Simon Beitz, Alex.Bank – Temenos Community Forum 2023

In Vienna for the Temenos Community Forum 2023 event, FF News had a chat with Simon Beitz, CEO of Alex.Bank, to explore the company’s activities and learn more about his crucial role.

Alex.Bank is a leading digital banking platform that offers a comprehensive suite of financial services and innovative products. With a strong emphasis on customer-centricity and cutting-edge technology, Alex.Bank delivers seamless online banking, mobile payment solutions, and personalised investment options to empower individuals and businesses in their financial journey.

“We’re bankers, and we know banking. We’re not technologists, so we went with the Temenos cloud solution because it means that Temenos can do what they’re really good at, which is doing the technology and making sure the systems run and that they can scale when they need to scale.”

“Our customers can apply for a loan in 2 minutes and 40 seconds. In Australia (where Alex.Bank is based), it takes on average 10-40 days to get a loan application in, so it’s a real challenge for the legacy banks to catch up with us. But we don’t apologise for that, we’re not going to wait for them. We’re going to keep going, we’re going to keep pushing Temenos and our other partners to keep running fast with us.”
