David Parker – Polymath Consulting – Paris Fintech Forum

At Paris Fintech Forum we caught up with David Parker, Founder & CEO of Polymath Consulting, who discussed with us a variety of topics affecting the markets, Fintech’s & BSFI’s they are encountering in the current climate.

Polymath Consulting is a company that specialises in providing consultancy services to the financial industry, particularly in the areas of payments, banking, and financial technology. They offer expertise and insights to help businesses navigate complex regulatory environments, optimise their operations, and develop innovative strategies. Around the Cards and Payments space, whether RFP’s, AML, Open Banking.

“We’re seeing some pushback on valuations. And things in the market are generally quite tight. We’re still seeing investments and deals going on, but they’re taking longer to happen.”

“With a lot of companies, you’ve got to look at the fundamentals. Where are you going to get your income and revenue from? And I think that’s what the VCs and the private investors are looking at these days, is where you’re actually going to generate that real return.”

“Everyone’s talking about AI… the new hot letters, so to speak. I think we’re yet to see how it’s going to have an impact and, more importantly, how it’s going to be monetized.”
