In Amsterdam, at the RAI, for Money20/20 Europe, we had the opportunity to meet Walter Colebatch, Head of Strategic Partnerships at Silverbird, to discuss his significant role within the company, as well as the company’s operations.

Silverbird is a leading provider of innovative financial technology solutions, specialising in digital banking and payment systems. They empower businesses and financial institutions with secure and efficient tools to enhance customer experiences and drive growth in the digital economy.

“It used to be that as clients, we would choose a bank and work out which bank we trusted to partner with. And now, it’s very much a case of the bank choosing you, and if they don’t trust you, that’s your problem. So at Silverbird, we like to go back to how it was and we want to give people the choice to choose us because we understand their business.”

“When the opportunity came to use technology to bring banking services to a particular niche, that was something Max Faldin chose to do. We’ve chosen this particular niche because it is an area that we understand really well, and that allows us to do much more focused KYC and AML around those clients because we really understand their business much better than the banks do.”
