Propelling Digital Banking Innovation | Arun Thallapelly | Temenos Community Forum 2024

At the TCF 2024 event in Dublin, Arun Thallapelly, Global Head of BSG at Temenos, emphasised the role of digital transformation in banking and highlighted Temenos’ commitment to innovation and customer-centricity

Known for his strategic insights and leadership in financial services, Arun Thallapelly spoke about the evolving landscape of banking and Temenos’ pivotal role in driving digital innovation in the financial services industry.

“Digital transformation is pivotal for banks worldwide,” Arun stated, underscoring the necessity for banks to connect more deeply with their customers through advanced technologies.

Arun then articulated Temenos’ approach to leveraging data and artificial intelligence to enhance customer understanding and operational efficiency.

This, he explained, is why we are putting a lot of money into artificial intelligence so as to offer constructive ideas that will enable banks to serve their clients better. This strategy not only seeks to empower customers but also improve the internal efficiency through the use of advanced analytics and AI-supported solutions.

Afterwards, Arun mentioned about Temenos’ constant innovation and flexibility with its single source code platform that can be deployed anywhere whether it is a cloud or on-premise environment.

“We endeavour to give them flexible, secure and scalable solutions,” he added while explaining how Temenos’ Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offerings help banks concentrate more on their customers rather than spending time in infrastructure management activities.

Arun clarified further by stating “We want banking operations to run smoothly without any technical complexities at the background.” Hence, this customer-oriented perspective harmonizes well with Temenos’ historical goal of empowering banks to define and improve customer relationships in an efficient way.

In his concluding remarks about banking’s future direction, Arun reiterated the necessity for understanding that each customer’s journey is unique.

“All our digital platforms have been developed to provide banks with multiple tools that can be used for any client segment,” he stressed emphasizing how closely related they are between all connected customers, this is what makes it.”

The TCF event in Dublin showcased Temenos’ commitment to driving innovation in financial services with Arun’s insights serving as a guide for banks with legacy infrastructures who are navigating the complexities of digital transformation.

As the fintech industry continues to evolve, Temenos remain at the forefront and empower banks globally to embrace the future of digital banking with confidence and agility. Their combined vision for customer focused banking and technological innovation resonated strongly, setting a clear path for the future of financial services.
