What Was the Best Session or Speaker? | FF News at ITI 2024

Conferences like Insurtech Insights are the place to go to find out what the experts in your industry are saying right now.

The Insurtech sector is in pretty good shape with funding and startup success on the rise, despite other areas of fintech and technology suffering. Many of these companies are actually B2B tech companies, suggesting partnerships between incumbents and tech providers are increasingly popular.

Both were there in abundance at Insurtech Insights, Europe. It’s one of the busiest and best conferences in the insurance industry and we had to be there to find out what was going on.

We arrived at the InterContinental in London last month, and wanted to see which sessions or speakers our attendees and participants were looking forward to the most.

In the snapshot video above, we speak to attendees, exhibitors, experts and more to find out who they were looking forward to seeing or who had impressed them so far.

Insurtech insights certainly has an impressive agenda. Speakers from the world’s largest insurers, Insurtech startups, financial powerhouses and more, had a lot to offer, covering all the big topics.

AI? Automation? Fraud? UX? There were panels and talks on all of these topics and more, across the two days. Embedded insurance and Internet of Things are also big topics in the industry, with the potential for different areas of life to be more accurately underwritten and the gaps between events and payouts getting smaller.

The video above highlights that there were quite a lot of panel discussions, highlighting and showcasing partnerships and different areas of expertise. The traditional insurers of course have a lot of experience to offer and the resources to innovate in different verticals, whilst startups and tech providers can offer new perspectives and disruptive ideas.

Of course, AI gets a lot of mention being the buzzword that it is. There are many different opinions and concerns about the role it will play in insurance, but equally many of our attendees were only too happy to learn more about this developing technology. Some of the people we spoke to just wanted to sit through multiple talks and soak it all in.

Have a watch to find out who they picked and therefore who you should be giving a follow on LinkedIn. And if you haven’t already, watch our last video on what Insurtech Insights does differently.
