SafeWeb Partners with Chubb to Include Insurance in SafeWeb’s Cybersecurity Offering for Small Businesses

SafeWeb, a provider of comprehensive AI-Powered cyber security services for Small Businesses (SMBs), is proud to announce its partnership with Chubb, a world leader in insurance. This partnership aims to bolster the protection of SMBs against cyber threats and incidents by integrating insurance into a new offering, SafeWeb Pro.

SafeWeb is designed for SMBs, offering affordable cybersecurity with instant onboarding and a simple monthly subscription. The new SafeWeb Pro offering includes dark web monitoring, phishing simulations, breach response, and a privacy toolbox. It also includes Privacy Liability insurance (subject to eligibility) from Chubb, available through digital broker Superscript, delivering a complete solution for detection, protection, and insurance.

Key features include:

  • Privacy Liability Coverage: Protection against damages arising from the mishandling of personal data and non-public third-party corporate information.
  • Fines & Penalties: Coverage for fines issued by UK regulators, where insurable by law.
  • Defence Costs: Coverage for legal expenses related to covered claims, including expert witness fees.
  • Subcontractor Coverage: Extends protection to failures by subcontractors in safeguarding data.
  • Accidental Violation Coverage: Protection against unintentional violations of privacy regulations.

Approximately 80% of small businesses encountered some form of cyber incident last year, which underscores the importance of proactive cybersecurity measures. “At SafeWeb, we are dedicated to providing our clients with insurance and cybersecurity tools through SafeWeb Pro, helping them navigate these challenges with confidence,” stated Daan Donders, Founder of SafeWeb.

“Our partnership with SafeWeb reflects our commitment to supporting small businesses in managing cyber risks effectively. By offering privacy liability insurance we aim to empower these businesses by helping to protect their business should a cyber incident occur,” said Hilda Toh, Chief Underwriting Officer at Chubb in the United Kingdom, Ireland and South Africa.
