Revolut, the global financial technology company, is rolling out a new feature enabling its 11 million customers in the UK to gift an annual paid plan – Plus, Premium, Metal and Ultra – to anyone in their Revolut contacts in just a few taps in the app. 

Whether it’s for a birthday, a thank you, or just to show them some love, users can now surprise their loved ones with an annual plan that matches their lifestyle. From seamless everyday money management and reduced FX fees to premium travel experiences, there’s a plan designed to resonate with everyone (Paid Plan Fees and T&C’s apply). As demand for value-driven subscriptions increases, Revolut’s paid plan subscriptions in the UK have risen by 26% YoY in 2024 as consumers seek to enhance both their finances and their lifestyles.

Each Revolut plan is designed with a unique lifestyle in mind: 

The Platinum Connoisseur (Ultra Plan, £540/year )
This high-earning cosmopolitan wants it all: from private lounges, to top-tier subscriptions and elite insurance. They’re not just banking, they’re curating a lifestyle, and they expect only the best.
Key features: platinum card, 1 RevPoint every €1 spent, unlimited airport lounges, up to x% AER (variable) on savings, travel insurance and any-clause cancellation policy, eSIMs to always remain connected while abroad and subscriptions (NordVPN, Tinder, FT, Headway, Sleepcycle, Freeletics and more) 

The Globetrotting Shopper (Metal Plan, £140/year)
A frequent flyer who’s not just spending, they’re optimissing. They love the shine of premium cards, especially when used on the other side of the world, and being rewarded to use them. This user values lifestyle upgrades, travel benefits and savvy investments.

The Savvy Spender (Plus Plan, £40/year )
A savvy spender who likes minimal fees and maximum control, wants smart tools without the fluff and doesn’t believe in overpaying for basics. 

Key features: purchase protection, exchange up to £3,000 without any fees, Monday to Friday, and lower (0.5%) additional exchange fees on the weekend, higher savings interest and additional accounts for kids.

How to gift a Revolut plan: 

  1. Go to Plan Hub or to your Revolut contacts list and choose the Revolut friend you want to gift a plan to 
  2. Pick the plan — you can gift their current plan or any one above it
  3. Only annual plans can be gifted
  4. If the gift is unclaimed or declined within a year, you’ll get a full refund

In addition to the possibility to gift Revolut plans, Revolut customers who want to surprise their  friends and family, can also buy gift cards for the brands they love and share the code with them. Gift cards can be purchased with a few taps and paid using RevPoints, that can be earned while spending with Revolut (RevPoints T&Cs apply).
