Cardstream® and Cartway Commerce Spearhead SME Empowerment in the E-commerce Landscape

Cardstream, the UK’s leading payment technology provider, and Cartway Commerce, the progressive partner-focused eCommerce agency, today announced an expanded strategic partnership. The move will accelerate their combined vision to enable eCommerce with integrated payments for SMEs globally.

Cardstream has been Cartway’s preferred payment technology provider since 2014. Through this latest collaboration, Cardstream will now offer Cartway Commerce services to its Partner network, enabling them to introduce eCommerce transactions in as little as 24 hours.

The global eCommerce market is experiencing unprecedented growth, with projections indicating an increase from $5.13 trillion in 2022 to $8.09 trillion by 2027. Furthermore, 2.77 billion people shop online worldwide. This surge underscores the critical need for SMEs to adopt eCommerce with integrated, robust online payment solutions to capture a share of the expanding digital marketplace. “Our collaboration with Cartway Commerce democratises access to advanced eCommerce solutions,” said Adam Sharpe, Cardstream’s CEO. “By leveraging the flexible and highly scalable services provided by Cartway Commerce, we shall empower our Partners and their merchants to enhance their online presence and operational efficiency.”

Mann Matharu, founder of Cartway Commerce and a seasoned eCommerce solutions provider, comments: “Thousands of merchants are locked into their current eCommerce platforms and payment providers, often paying over 3% per transaction. By partnering with Cardstream, we empower Partners to offer flexible, cost-effective eCommerce solutions that deliver long-term value to their merchants. Payments are the heart of any business and together; we are committed to simplifying online payments for Partners while driving sustainable eCommerce growth for SMEs.”

Endorsing this initiative, Richard Bradley, Founder and CEO at AcceptCards comments: “We’re always striving to add real value for merchants, and I believe the convergence of the eCommerce solutions provided by Cartway, with its integrated payments, being powered by Cardstream, is going to fill a huge gap in the ISO marketplace.”

This collaboration between two fintech leaders shows the way forward, when it comes to supporting merchants and continuing to disrupt the sector positively.
