At the event, OCR Studio will also showcase its recently released browser-based ID scanner, designed to prevent spoofing attacks during the verification process in web environments. The new solution enables secure online onboarding in the browser via selfie ID verification. The technology works by checking face liveness and comparing a live selfie with an image from an ID, confirming the presence of a live person. Previously, the company adapted its software products for IDs, payment cards and barcodes scanning to the web using WebAssembly (WASM) technology.
