A new chapter for FINNOSUMMIT

“More than a decade ago, FINNOSUMMIT events were born out of a dream to transform finance in Latin America. Since then, we’ve witnessed the emergence of a thriving Fintech ecosystem now at the heart of Latin America’s financial system. In 2025, a new chapter begins. With this renewed edition in Mexico City’s largest conference venue, FINNOSUMMIT heralds the ‘Fintech everywhere’ era—where finance and technology converge across industries to build a more inclusive economy,” said Andrés Fontao, CEO of Finnosummit.

This year’s theme, “Fintech Beyond Disruption: The New Financial System”, reflects a pivotal shift: Fintechs are no longer merely disruptors—they have become essential pillars of Latin America’s economic infrastructure. Today, their solutions extend across sectors such as healthcare, insurance, commerce, agriculture, and mobility, generating structural impact for millions of individuals and businesses.

“FINNOSUMMIT is not just an event; it’s a movement that has demonstrated remarkable resilience and growth—even amid global challenges such as the pandemic. Attendance has grown steadily at a 19% CAGR, from 350 participants in 2015 to 1,700 in 2024. Sponsor numbers have risen 18% annually, showing growing brand confidence and ongoing support for the ecosystem,” Fontao added.

Between 2021 and 2024, the Fintech sector in Latin America recorded a compound annual growth rate of approximately 22%, with a 31% year-over-year increase between 2023 and 2024—strong indicators of a robust upward trend and promising outlook for 2025.

A strategic Content Advisory Board to shape the agenda

New for 2025, FINNOSUMMIT introduces its Content Advisory Board, a group of ecosystem leaders shaping a content strategy that responds to Latin America ‘s most urgent financial challenges. Board members include, Nektarios Liolios, Co-founder, Startupbootcamp Fintech; Álvaro Rodríguez, Co-founder and Managing Partner, IGNIA; Rubén Salazar, CEO, Gennius XYZ and Andrés Fontao, CEO, Finnosummit.
