About Wilko Klaassen
I am an e-Commerce, digital, shopper marketing and Cross/Omni Channel expert and experienced global business and transformation manager. Currently General Manager Be/Ne/Fra at KLARNA, making payments smooth. Prior to that CDO at Bakker.com, VP Global Online at Husqvarna group, responsible for the: digital strategy, delivered on a consistent and industry leading online experience, online channel strategy and e-Commerce abilities supporting direct and 3rd party sales, in an omni channel environment. I was Global Director of e-Commerce at LEGO, from 2004-2012 worked at Electrolux, where I last held the position of Global Director Commercial Development online & B2C, based in the global HQ. responsible for the B2C direct and multi channel on-line sales, launched the first Electrolux direct sales shops, in USA and Europe. Been instrumental in developing the Online sales strategy and sales platform. Before, at Electrolux, he was Channel Manager e-Commerce, in charge of developing and implementing the European e-tail strategy, and developing own direct sales opportunities, for the after market and appliance sales. Before joining Electrolux, I worked at SCA Packaging Europe, last held the position was Product Manager e-Business.
Since 1998, I have been active with Internet related activities, site development, e-business products, e-commerce channel head and launching on-line sales strategies for large cooperations (SCA Packaging, Electrolux, LEGO and Husqvarna). My roles are focused on business development, process optimization, digital, cross – channel mgmt and interaction with the consumer and shoppers, having the goal of unlocking market and profit opportunities.
In 2011, I obtained an MBA degree from a consortium of 6 European universities. Prior to undertaking the MBA, I completed education in the Netherlands and Denmark, both in Business and Economics. Living and working internationally, currently living with my family in Amsterdam.
