About Tony Ford

I am a technology and product leader with an expertise in large scale internet applications and infrastructure. My passion is leading and growing teams to build products that solve real problems for customers and users. I started my career in technology tinkering around building websites and tools to help gamers connect and play games online. I joined TeamXbox in 2003, a small startup with the largest Xbox community and media website at the time. Shortly after TeamXbox was acquired by IGN Entertainment and I spent the next 10 years reinventing media there. As VP of Engineering at IGN I lead the technology team to build out a modern, scalable, service oriented platform where both the users and the professional editorial team use the same set of publishing tools and content is available across many different screens. In 2013 I joined Marqeta where I helped invent and build the world's first open API card issuing platform.
