About Teresa Connors

Cut her in half, and at her core, Teresa Connors is a Banker and payments specialist. As a Banker, she has led regulated product teams and global market engagement programs, in addition to collaborating and debating at industry forums and conferences. Viewing payments through another lens, she has also worked with a global technology firm, shaping propositions for Bank partners. The payments landscape is complex, with the tension between innovation, regulation, and participants creating a dynamic market. For her, the most important market participant is the customer. As an NED and adviser, she works with firms to set strategy for optimal performance, delivering customer-centric strategies and propositions underpinned by robust corporate governance. As Chair of the tell.money Board, she enjoys being a critical friend to the Executive team. Satisfying her curiosity for the breadth of innovation in the market, she serves as a judge for The Banker Technology Awards, Merchant Payment Ecosystem, The Banker, and The Payment Association awards. Contributing to market development, she is an Ambassador for The Payments Association and a member of the Regulatory Working Group. She is also a member of the JROC Open Banking Future Entity Capability Working Group. Fulfilling her drive for equality, Teresa Connors serves on the EMEA Advisory Board of Women in Payments.
