About Tan Bin Ru

Tan Bin Ru, A Singaporean leader, with passion and experience in driving technology sales and business strategies in both MNCs and start-ups. Currently, She serves as President, Enterprise Digital in Singapore Technologies Engineering in addition to her role as the Chairwoman of the Blockchain Association Singapore. Pior to STE, Tan Bin Ru spent many years in the start up arena. Notable roles includes Deputy Chief Executive Officer and chief operating officer of ChainUp Pte Ltd, a leading blockchain technology solutions provider for digital asset exchanges and institutions and Chief Executive Officer  (Southeast Asia) of OneConnect Financial Technology Co. Ltd., a technology-as-a-service platform for financial institutions. Tan Bin Ru also held various MNC leadership roles at Microsoft and Hewlett Packard. Tan Bin Ru has been recognized as one of the “Top 5 Women in FinTech” for her exceptional contribution to the Singapore fintech industry, and “Top 50 Asia FinTech Leaders” for her leadership in supporting the start up ecosystem. Tan Bin Ru graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Science (Statistics and Operations Research). She also holds a post-graduate diploma in Supply Chain Management and is a certified Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma. She has over 20 years of experience in Sales and Operations, and has driven successful sales strategies and operational improvements with multiple MNCs and startups. She was the Regional Sales Director for One Commercial Partner and Small, Mid-market Corporate Customers for Southeast Asia at Microsoft. She had also worked with Hewlett Packard for 10 years where she served a variety of roles in Singapore and Houston in the area of Sales Strategy, Alliance Management, Business Planning, Worldwide Operations, and Strategic Management.
