Stuart Riley is the Global Head of Technology for the Institutional Clients Group, which supports growth in some of Citi’s largest businesses while improving efficiency and creating a safer, faster, better connected and more reliable infrastructure for Citi and our clients. Stuart is also Head of ICG Digital, which works with the business to accelerate and govern our digital strategy, with a focus on improving client experience.
Stuart Riley joined Citi in 2010 to run eCommerce in Sales & Trading, and led the development and widespread adoption of the industry leading suite of products Citi Velocity. Stuart subsequently held a variety of leadership positions in Operations & Technology across Capital Markets, Securities Services, Investment Banking, Trade and Treasury, and Private Banking. In addition to his focus on initiatives such as Cloud, Data, APIs, Blockchain and Cyber, he is also actively engaged with external companies, start-ups, think-tanks and academics, connecting different approaches to drive innovation at Citi.
Prior to joining Citi, Stuart held a number of senior technology roles at Deutsche Bank. Before that he was a Partner at a technology consulting firm and he has a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering and Management. He co-leads the Citi Women initiative and is a member of Teach First's Technology Committee, which aims at developing solutions to end educational disadvantage and create a fair education for all.
