Recognised as among the Top 40 Under 40 by German magazine Capital in 2018, Stefan Hoops heads one of the most critical divisions at Deutsche Bank, managing thousands of employees and customers globally in corporate banking. During his career, like many, Stefan went through “rookie mistakes” in the early start of his career and more than once told himself “what doesn’t kill me makes me stronger” during the 2010s.
Stefan Hoops joined Deutsche Bank in Structured Sales in 2003. In 2008, he moved to New York to join Credit Trading and had since taken on various leadership roles within Global Markets in the United States and Germany, including Global Head of Institutional Sales. In October 2018, he became the Head of Global Transaction Banking and the Corporate and Investment Bank in Germany. As of July 2019, he is Head of Deutsche Bank’s Corporate Bank which encompasses all corporate and commercial client activities.
Stefan Hoops holds a Master of Science in Business Administration and a PhD in Economics from the University of Bayreuth, Germany.
