Sonia Gomez has worked in the electronic payments industry for 19 years, she holds a degree as a Systems Engineer in Computer Science and Management. She currently serves as a solutions consultant at ACI Worldwide, and was previously manager of pre-sales for Latin America at S1. She has also held various roles including: technical leader, project manager and consultant for companies in the payments industry. Sonia has actively participated in the definition, design and implementation of solutions focused on Retail Banking and Consumer Payments for major financial institutions in the region. Sonia believes that electronic payments are an essential part of the development of any economy. It is important to provide options from the technological point of view to facilitate the process and adapt to consumer preferences. Since her role enables local clients to use and maximize the use of innovative and world-class solutions like those provided by ACI, she also tailors these solutions for the specific requirements of the consumer and Latin American market.
