About Simone Maini

Simone Maini guides and operationalizes Elliptic’s vision that enables customers to efficiently manage cryptoasset risk, grow business, and meet regulatory obligations. Simone is a leading voice on the mainstreaming of cryptocurrency, combating financial crime, and instilling trust in the cryptosphere as a safe and accessible financial system in which to transact and invest. She is part of the invitation-only WEF Digital Currency Governance Consortium following Elliptic’s recognition as a 2020 WEF Technology Pioneer. Prior to Elliptic, Simone held senior roles in investment banking, financial crime and risk at Kroll as a Director of Product Strategy and Innovation, and Deutsche Bank. She holds a BA in History from the University of Cambridge. Simone Maini became inspired by the possibilities presented by blockchain technology and specifically, the opportunity to significantly improve the detection and disruption of illicit activity when fund movements are transparent and traceable. Simone is a leading voice on financial crime prevention and compliance in crypto and a champion for an inclusive crypto compliance community.
