Simon Black is an experienced technology CEO with a successful record in payments, fintech and software. He led PPRO for almost 9 years building a global business with a highly regarded market position. He established strategic relationships with high-profile partners and world-class investors. Prior to PPRO he transformed Protx, a Sage acquistion, into Sage Pay, creating the brand and driving growth to become the UK's leading payment gateway for SMEs. In a total of ten years at Sage he also integrated two other acquisitions and led the development of the company's first SaaS accounting application, Sage One. Earlier in his career, Simon Black founded a marketing SaaS start-up and held senior strategy and brand consulting roles both in the USA where he lived for six years, and in the UK. Simon has provided expert commentary on live TV and radio for the BBC and CNN, has been published widely in payments and eCommerce media, and has spoken often at events such as Internet World and Money 20/20.
