About Rob Laible

As Global Head of Equities, I am responsible for Liquidnet’s global institutional equities business, a trading network that includes more than 900 global Member firms that collectively manage $16+ trillion in equity assets. Currently based in New York, my immediate focus is providing asset managers with deep institutional-sized liquidity, value-added execution services and advanced analytics to help traders compete in this era of automation and data-driven investing. I joined Liquidnet in July 2014 as Global Head of Execution & Quantitative Services (EQS) and played a key role in developing Liquidnet’s award-winning premium suite of algos specifically designed for institutions and their unique workflows. In 2019, I took on the role of Chief Operating Officer at Liquidnet, overseeing the global technology, operations, legal, compliance, marketing, and corporate efficiencies + vendor relations departments. I joined Liquidnet from Macquarie Securities where I was Head of Program Trading and Electronic Execution based in Hong Kong. I joined Macquarie from Nomura where I was Head of Electronic Trading Sales Globally, Program Trading Sales for APAC, and Cash Sales Trading for AEJ. Prior to that, I was Head of Lehman Brothers’ Prime Services Origination & Electronic Trading in Asia. I also spent more than a decade at ITG in New York, helping to build the agency broker and technology firm through developing its advanced trading technologies.
