About Richard Anderson

Richard Anderson is an independently minded non-executive director and chairman with extensive experience of a wide range of sectors and industries and of working in many different countries. Key areas of focus include: • Governance: an effective Non-Executive Director with experience of Chairing Boards, Committees and active participation in discharging board responsibilities, including developing relationships with regulators and key stakeholders. • Strategic focus: An ability to understand strategic needs, taking into account stakeholder demands and express them in a clear and articulate manner. • Risk management: a pragmatic and practical risk professional, especially in terms of strategic risk, systemic risk and risk culture. Developing risk operating models that work, and assessing and developing appropriate risk cultures. • Innovative thinking: being at the leading edge of risk management so that organisations can leverage risk management to their advantage by focusing risk management on growth over the long term. • Critical National Infrastructure: Pay.UK and C&CCC form a part of the CNI and therefore have a role as systemic risk managers in their respective spheres. • Cyber security: engaged on issues of cyber-security, including chairing the Pay.UK Security Sub-Committee.
