About Rich Williams

I am a senior executive and business leader with a breadth and depth of expertise in the insurance industry, including an extensive background in voluntary benefits; distribution strategy and sales; marketing; operations; finance; and business development. I serve as President of Combined Insurance, joining the company to lead it through an exciting growth transformation with an emphasis on worksite sales and broker relations. Before Combined, I led the new Group Benefits Division at Aflac, where I also was the Chief Distribution Officer. Prior to Aflac, I held various leadership positions within the insurance industry at Unum U.S., Colonial Life and Accident Insurance Company, and Strategic Resource Company (an Aetna company). I first began my career as an actuary with William M. Mercer Inc., and I also served as a mathematics professor. While I no longer teach, I remain dedicated to educating, mentoring, and inspiring my team to deliver the highest possible level of service in everything we do. I am a husband and proud father to four children. In my spare time, I enjoy coaching youth travel baseball and basketball, as well as running, and serving as a church elder at my local church. I am open to leadership-themed speaking engagements and relevant board opportunities.
