About Reuben Lai

Reuben leads Grab Financial Group. Grab Financial Group was founded to empower millions of people and micro-merchants across SE Asia with digital financial services (payments, lending, insurance, wealth, digibank) to achieve greater social and economic mobility. In his role, he oversees strategy, partnerships, fundraising, product development, overall P&L. Together with his awesome teammates at GFG, they have grown the company into a leading SE Asia fintech. They recently closed a $300M Series A Funding round and obtained the Digibank licence in Singapore. Recognised as a thought leader in fintech, Reuben has been invited to speak and serve as a panelist at various banking & finance and technology conferences and forums. He currently sits on various boards including Grab-SingTel Digibank, GrabInsure and GrabLinks.
