About Renaud Dumora

Throughout 30 years at BNP Paribas, Renaud Dumora 's goal has remained constant: to be the trusted partner of their clients, and a main support to their projects, by providing them with the best experience and services. However, just as clients’ needs are constantly changing, he has kept abreast of changes in the banking/insuring sector and in his current role as Deputy COO of BNP Paribas and Head of Investment & Protection Services (IPS), his main task is to match their clients’ expectations with the major social and environmental challenges now underway. He began his career within the Group at Compagnie Bancaire in 1990 as Head of Statistical Studies and later in Management Control. In 1994, he joined the actuarial department of BNP Paribas Cardif, where he held various positions before becoming director. In 2004, he became Head of Casualty Insurance and in 2007 he was appointed co-Head of the International department, joining the BNP Paribas Cardif Executive Committee. As a self-proclaimed geek, it’s no surprise that he believes strongly that technology is key to achieving this goal: it is an essential asset for their employees in their jobs and a great accelerator and enabler of both growth and sustainability. He is a firm advocate that Data, AI, platformisation and APIs will help BNP Paribas strengthen its position as a leading bank in sustainable finance. While fully embracing the digital world, however, to him, success must and can only be a collective, human achievement. In fact, he truly believes that a company should be a place where individuals, whoever they are, can be empowered by a collective strength. Maybe because of this, he is deeply committed towards changing society's attitude towards disability and has welcomed the opportunity to sponsor “BNP Paribas Ability,” a mutual-aid network for employees directly or indirectly affected by disabilities and disabling or chronic illnesses. Renaud Dumora is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique, the Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l'Administration Economique and the Institut des Actuaires Français.
