About Raymond Gatcliffe

Raymond Gatcliffe is the Head of Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) in North America since March 2022 and is based in New York. He has 29 years of banking experience with Citi across several regions and roles.
Prior to his current role, he was the Head of Citi Commercial Bank in Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) from 2019 to 2022 based in London.
Prior to serving as the Head of CCB EMEA, he was based in Miami from 2015 to 2019 in the Banking, Capital Markets & Advisory (BCMA) division of Citi as the Regional Corporate & Investment Banking Head for Central America and the Caribbean (CCA), in addition to Caribbean Cluster Head.
Raymond first began his career at Citi Trinidad in 1994 as a Credit Analyst before leading the Regional Franchise Unit. Following that, he worked as the Corporate Bank Head for Citi Trinidad and Regional Franchise, the Citi Country Officer in Puerto Rico, and the Citi Country Officer in Panama before moving to his regional CCA role in Miami 2015.
Raymond has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration Magna Cum Laude from Boston University and a Master’s Degree in Finance from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland.
Raymond is a former chairman of St. Andrew’s School, Trinidad. He has served as the president of the American Chamber of Commerce of Trinidad, as director of the American Chamber of Commerce of Panama. Raymond has also consulted for CARICOM on capital market development.
