About Paul Johnstone
As Chubb Canada’s Chief Operating Officer, Paul has executive operating responsibility for the organization’s retail property and casualty insurance business. This includes Chubb’s high-net-worth personal lines segment in Canada, as well as oversight for the businesses’ accident and health offerings that are provided to Canadian-based clients, served by independent brokers and agents through Chubb’s four Canadian branches. In addition, Paul supports Chubb Canada’s strategic priorities and information technology, including architecture, with a focus on increased digitization, and leads Chubb’s efforts to strengthen key relationships with distribution partners throughout the region.
With a 28 year career in the Canadian insurance market spanning commercial lines with emphasis on the energy sector, the Canadian facultative reinsurance market, corporate marketing and accident benefits prior to the current focus as COO, Paul brings broad perspective and deep market insight to today’s challenges and opportunities. A graduate of the University of Windsor majoring in economics holding a CRM and certificates in Public Administration, Paul is a standing member of the IBC national committee for Personal Lines and is an active leader in youth hockey in the GTA.
