Murat Cagri Suzer, Transformation executive with a demonstrated history of both design and execution. Skills include general management, strategy, product development, brand management, digital sales and marketing, CRM and retail sales. Since 2020, he leads Turkey's biggest and one of Europe's most sizeable card payments company - Garanti BBVA Payment Systems Inc. which is a fin-tech developing cutting edge payments products and technology, and also launching them to market with extensive marketing, sales, digital, CRM and operations capabilities. It is serving to more than 18 million active customers and more than 500 thousand merchants. Additionally, in 2022, he led founding 2 fin-tech companies within the Group. He is currently Chair of Garanti BBVA Payment Services Inc.(a payment facilitator) and Garanti BBVA Digital Assets Inc. (a fin-tech on De-Fi). Murat Cagri Suzer founded teams including hiring CEOs, and he has been overseeing the product development and funding rounds as well as regulatory affairs. He also oversees securities, investment and pension subsidiaries of Garanti BBVA. Murat Cagri Suzer assumed additional roles within the group in 2023: He is an EVP of Garanti BBVA and under this role he leads Digital Banking, Retail & SME Segments, Product Dev. & Pricing, Branding, Data, Sustainability and Partnerships. He also became a member of BBVA's Global S&P team that oversees global strategic initiatives. In his previous role, Murat Cagri Suzer was leading BBVA’s Consumer Banking Franchise in the USA including: - Retail sales network - 641 branches of BBVA Compass - Remote channels and open market initiatives - Consumer and Sme banking products (Mortgages, Payments, Deposits, etc.) Responsible of Consumer Bank’s overall performance he specifically focused on sales transformation, product development, CRM and digitization. Team size was approximately 5,000 employees. Reported to U.S. Country President and CEO. Murat Cagri Suzer started his career in Danone (sales and trade marketing). Then, he joined McKinsey and served financial organizations, telecom operators, consumer goods companies and retailers. He served at Consumer Bankers Association as a Board Member in the USA. He was a member of Mastercard's European Advisory Board. Currently, he is a member of American Express' Global Advisory Board. Also, he is a Board Member at BKM (Turkish Interchange Center), Garanti Bank Romania, Garanti Securities, Garanti Pension, Salt (a non-profit promoting Art) and ORAV (a non-profit focused on training teachers on new trends). Graduate of industrial engineering and has an MBA from INSEAD, France & Singapore.
