About Mufti Billal Omarjee

Mufti Billal Omarjee was born on the French Island of Reunion where he memorized the Quran before moving to the UK at the age of 17. He completed his Islamic theology studies at Darul Uloom Bury in 2004, earned his BA in Banking and law from London Met University in 2011, and subsequently qualified as a Mufti at Darul Uloom Blackburn. He also holds various professional certifications. He has served as a research assistant for Mufti Zubair Butt, chair of the Al Qalam Shariah Panel. He was the Imam of Chingford mosque and the head teacher of their madrassah. He served as an Islamic law expert to the National Zakat Foundation and has helped thousands of people and businesses calculate their Zakat for many years. He has also delivered hundreds of Zakat workshops in various mosques in England and Wales. Currently, he is a shariah consultant to Islamic Finance Guru and has approved hundreds of Islamic wills for their customers.
