As Fintech & Financial Services Lead for the Asia-Pacific region, Mo was a senior member of Enterprise Ireland’s Asia-Pacific team based in Hong Kong. Enterprise Ireland is one of the most active investors in Fintech start-ups in the world. Currently, Enterprise Ireland’s portfolio comprises over 200 FinTech companies and it operates a Competitive Start Fund to invest in Fintech and DeepTech start-up companies working in the areas of Fintech, PropTech, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Augmented and Virtual Reality, IoT, Blockchain and Cloud. At EI, Mo was responsible for investment and scaling companies in the region, working with entrepreneurs and C-suite decision makers to identify and harness opportunities across industries. Mo also worked to expand relationships with start-ups, financial institutions, government, regulators, venture capitalists and other service providers across the Fintech ecosystem. Key areas of interest include Financial Inclusion, Edtech, SMEs, Ecosystems, Big Data, SaaS, AI, Women’s Entrepreneurship, Impact Investing, Early Stage Investment and Emerging Markets. Having lived in Hong Kong for a number of years, Mo is also actively involved in a number of organisations promoting women in business in Asia (The Women's Foundation Mentoring Program, Women in Tech HK, Women in Law Hong Kong and Co-Chair of International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC)). She is a member of the AngelHub Investment Committee, Hong Kong's first regulated start-up investment platform. Mo was an international corporate lawyer for almost 10 years (Ireland, UK, BVI & Hong Kong) acting for family offices, listcos, MNCs, PE firms etc. and actively involved in the tech start-up scene in Asia as an investor and advisor.
