Mike Kennedy, CEO of Velo Labs. Co-Founder and former CEO of the Zelle Network (fka clearXchange), the largest digital p2p network in the US. Former CEO of Interstellar. Expertise in payments, financial services, mobile and digital across both consumer and enterprise markets. Proven leader with history of building high performing teams. Graduated with distinction from both Harvard Business School and Stanford University. Mike Kennedy is a proven expert and innovator in the financial services industry, with more than 25 years of strategic and managerial experience, the first half at some of the globe’s largest institutions, with the last decade founding and leading some of the most innovative payments startups in the world. Prior to joining Velo Labs, Mike was the CEO of Interstellar, a blockchain based technology company, and sister company of the Stellar Development Foundation. He was also the North American President of the ASX listed money transfer company, OFX. Most notably, Mike Kennedy was the Co-Founder and former CEO of the Zelle Network, the largest digital peer-to-peer payments network in the US, which processes over US$300 Billion worth of transfers annually and is currently utilized by customers of over 7,000 US financial institutions. Mike has held multiple executive positions at Wells Fargo, the 3rd largest bank in the US, ranging from the Head of Innovation and Payments Strategy to the Head of Wealth Management Group Strategy and Implementation, and was a manager at McKinsey & Co., one of the oldest and largest management consultancies in the world. Elsewhere, Mike is actively on multiple boards, including the Board of Directors, Risk Committee and Audit Committee at the American Savings Bank, an Advisory Board member at the Stellar Development Foundation and an Advisory Board member at Verrency, a global payments innovator. Mike Kennedy  graduated from Stanford University with both a bachelors of Engineering, with distinction, and a Masters of Engineering. He also received his MBA, with distinction, from Harvard Business School.
