Mary Kay Bowman, Building and exploring 2-sided markets in tech. Mary Kay Bowman has joined Visa as its Head of Global Seller Product and Solutions. She was Square’s Head of Payments, overseeing engineering, product, and operations teams who create Square’s innovative payment products and services that provide delightful and inclusive payment experiences for millions of Square’s sellers and their customers. She joined Square in April 2015, She has worked with online, offline, and mobile commerce companies at all stages. She was previously at Amazon, where she spent 11 years elevating Amazon’s global payment acceptance, issuance and gift card programs to leading standards. Prior to that, she led global payments for Digital River’s world-wide platform to enable mobile and digital commerce. Mary Kay holds a degree in Business Administration and Art from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. She is passionate about making paying and being paid a delightful experience for buyers, sellers, and developers and works to influence the industry to do the same. In this role, Mary Kay leads the strategy for Visa’s acceptance products and solutions, driving the design, development and delivery of new services and solutions that are transforming the payment experience for buyers and sellers. This is a critical role at a time when the checkout experience continues its dramatic digital shift and the point of sale evolves across every channel – in-store, in-app and online - empowering buyers and sellers in new and exciting ways.
