About Luis Peña

I have been fortunate enough to work with the brightest people in the tech industry. Amex, Universal Group, Rover.com, and Pana have provided opportunities to work in areas like software development, engineering operations & growth. I founded my first company when I was 19, an online food delivery service (picture Uber Eats) back in 2008 when the internet was still in the early days (in my country Dominican Republic). From that early experience I fell in love with programming and how powerful is the internet to connect people and improve lives. From Insurance companies to Fintechs & marketplaces I've been able to learn a lot and contrast the differences between a fast-growing startup and a well-established company. The strongest skill sets I've learned were during 7 years of working and managing my software company - Ideologic, not only professionally by connecting with other companies/suppliers & managing people in different timezones but also personally since it allowed me to work remotely around the world in 30+ different countries; Backpacking with my laptop and meeting people along the way in Europe, Asia, US & Canada gave me a different perspective about the world and how the future I would like to build looks like.
