Liam Chennells, Co-Founder and CEO of Detected.
With over 10 years of experience in leading and growing digital businesses and with a background in sport, he has developed strong expertise in leadership, strategy, and GTM. Prior to Detected, he held various commercially focused roles in software and eCommerce businesses in the UK, mainland Europe, and the USA.
Outside of his day-to-day role, his biggest responsibility is his young daughter. He also trains to try and be an elite-level hybrid athlete - ready to take on any challenge. In 2023, he set the world record for the fastest time to rollerblade 500 miles from Edinburgh to London (5 days 6 hours 5 minutes) to raise money to support young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
His biggest passion is empowering and supporting the next generation to be the best they can be, and he knows that this is how he will spend most of his time in the future.

Liam Chennells has a diverse work experience history. Liam began their career as a Rugby Player for various teams in New Zealand and the UK from 2008 to 2010. Liam then worked as a Junior Consultant at a recruitment company from June 2010 to April 2011. Liam later joined Argyll Scott as a Senior Retail Consultant from April 2011 to September 2012. Liam then served as the Head of Sales - EMEA at Tryzens from September 2012 to August 2014. After that, Liam was Head of Commercial at eBay from August 2014 to November 2016. Liam then joined Zalando SE and served as Director, responsible for strategic retail & technology partnerships at Anatwine, which was acquired by Zalando, from November 2016 to May 2018. From May 2018 to October 2018, they worked as a Retail Technology Director - Interim at Ascential. Liam then moved on to EasyPost, where they worked as Managing Director, leading international strategy and new market expansion from October 2018 to October 2019. Currently, Liam is working as the Chief Executive of Detected, a global end-to-end KYB platform that they founded in July 2020.
Liam Chennells attended Colstons, where they studied Sport Studies, Psychology, Business Studies, and Theatre Studies. In addition, they obtained an Advanced Open Water Diver certification from PADI in January 2020.
